Okay, first of all, I found out it was the mom who drew the picture. Apparently the little boy wanted to draw it for me, but since he can't draw very well, the mom did it for him (!!!). So that's one mystery solved (still not sure why it was an ambulance though....)
Now on to the next one - anyone know why the Eiffel Tower was blue last night? I got up to close my curtains last night and was like "oh!":And thirdly, yesterday Kyliemac and I took advantage of the last day of the free museum experiment to go visit the National Museum of Archeology. It was really interesting, and housed in a château to boot. And check out that beautiful blue sky!!

Hot off the presses after a google news search:
France takes up EU Presidency

Starting July 1, France takes up the EU Presidency for the next six months. According to BBC, French President Nicolas Sarkozy admitted that his plans complicated after the EU Reform Treaty was rejected by referendum. The French leader added that his main priority is to convince all EU member countries to pass this treaty.
At Paris, Foreign minister Bernard Kouchner lighted up the Eiffel Tour to mark the Presidency. For two months, the tour will be lighted in blue while 12 golden stars of the EU flag will shine over it, France Presse informs.
Yeah, I was assuming it was because of the EU presidency.
Yup - I was going to say EU presidency too.
There was a huge event at Trocadero last night for Sarko. I can see the big yellow stars from my office (they've been there for literally weeks) and had been wondering what they were for but now it's all starting to make sense.....
There are flags on my buses today as well - both the EU and the French...I wonder if it's for the same reason...
It's about time the weather here improved. I was beginning to wonder if there was such a thing as summer in France.
And flags for France and the EU are hanging under the Arc de Triomphe so it seems Paris is all decked out in flags everywhere.
Yeah, I figured someone beat me to it already, but I found out last night that the Eiffel Tower was blue for the beginning of France's stint as EU president. Plus, my boyfriend was watching the Sarko interview on TV last night, so I picked up on some of it from that as well...
Maybe its just me, but I can't see the photos. :(
How is it you guys didn't know about this until yesterday? It's been all over the news and the newspapers that the eiffel tower would be blue with 12 stars for about the last week. I just can't wait for Poland to say no to the simplified Lisbon treaty so Sarkozy's presidential parade is well and truly rained on!
I was wondering the same thing when I looked out the window the other night. Glad to have the answer!
