Lucky or sucky?
What do you guys think? Would you put up with being away from home two weeks per month and sometimes having to wake up at 3am in exchange for being able to travel all over France and see things like this?

Umm, yes. Definitely. But then again, I'm a big fan of alone time {yes, even when I'm head-over-heels about someone}. I'm also quite keen on castles & other really old stuff. Sounds like a win-win situation to me. :-)
Being currently single, I'd say Lucky :).
That said, if I were engaged to C's cloned female copy, I would not be so sure :).
One thing is certain though, you maintain an awesome blog! Respect.
I'd say lucky. You will know when it becomes definitively sucky. You are young. Enjoy the flexibility.
Ok to begin with but soon gets very sucky
When I was your age, I did travel alot and I did get to see alot of France and the world. So yes, definitely, it's worth it!!!! Do it while you can.
Totally jealous, over here.
Lucky. Not sucky.
No, I would get tired of it really quickly. Plus, I like being home.
Definitely lucky. (But might be sucky if you had kids)
Absolutely. I want your job.
Hey Sam, this is Marina- the de Ladond's fille au pair for the last school year. Found your blog a while back, and have been a lurker since but i have finally my own blog so i can comment. Anyways, love reading your posts! and yes you are definitely lucky to be able to travel all over france as part of your job!
Hi Sam, I worked like a dog for 8 years and travelled a lot with my husband before we started a family and from my experience, I'd say "lucky". Do it now and enjoy it ! Just be careful to be plenty in touch with C.
