A quick blogging break to announce that - WOOT! - the Eiffel Tower is finally back to normal! Sarko's EU presidential reign is over, so the blue bulbs have finally disappeared. It's about time, I was definitely not a fan. Though I do wonder how many people it took to do the changeover...can you imagine replacing all of those bulbs??

Hey Sam,

You never answered my question from a long time ago.. What the heck does WOOT mean? Is that a midwestern word-- like how we say -- whoo hoo?!
Still curious...
I posted this same thing last night!!

I never saw the blue but I saw the stars driving past recently and they were so ugly! So I'm glad that's gone!

I could be wrong but I don't think they used blue bulbs, when I was there they had lights that shined on it from the bottom. I was a fan.

what a view! I don't know how they light it, but they could use filters to do the blue color effect? Just a thought seeing that I worked in the lighting industry.
