Totally Frenched Out

I am 56.

One of the things that's been niggling me about moving to Paris is the changing of departments. I mean, I've lived in Morbihan for almost five years now - it's MY department. I am Morbihannaise. Le 56 is my number.

It's been so engrained in me - everyone knows 44's are bad drivers, and that 22's are hicks (kind of like North Dakotan & Wisconsin drivers, lol). And don't even get me started on anyone with a 75 - then you automatically know to watch out. You know, parisien, tête de chien; parigot, tête de veau, and all that jazz. And now I'm going to be one of them! :-)

you're a 56aise in 75--only once you buy a summer home in the 56 that you drive to with your 75-plated 4x4 are you a 75arde!

Yes so true. 74 --and we never change our tags when we move. It just doesn't feel right. We've had the same plates for ten years and through a lot of moves! Changing tags feels so permanent.

Eh alors??!! Bienvenue chez le Parisians!! Hehehe... I met some guys from the north at LAX and they had that Ch'tis accent.. I caught it right away... though I hadn't yet seen the film!! What an accent!! Anyhow, we aren't really talking about accents, but bad drivers.. They exist EVERYWHERE in France... Given the permit de conduire is actually a license to legally be a BAD driver!!! I'm 92.. What am I called??? I think you will be cool to be a 75!! It awaits you... Who wants to be a Morbid-whatever... hehehe... Watch out though for the driving in Paris... and it's surrounding areas.. SUCKSSSSS!!!!
See you soon!!! Leesa

I'm a 75 and I'm not that bad, really. It depends on the number that comes afterwards, really.... so, to be clear, I am a 75013. Now... what can you say about the la treize?

ah I never knew that 44 is considered bad driver. I heard that they will standardize the license plate and at the end it won't show the department anymore. I'm eager to get rid of this 44, it means double death in Chinese! Imaging living in a city of death.

I lived in the 92 and worked in the 77...so on average I was an 84.5. Is there an 84? My landlords were amazing, but the 92 prefecture was HELL. Melun was great for work but not much to do in the 77 after certains hours. So I was quite thankful for 75 between the two. It kept me going and I was always entertained. You'll love it!!!
