Lord help me, my mother arrived today and will be staying until I leave on Thursday....this is my reminder to myself that despite how over-bearing she is, she means well and thinks she has my best interests at heart.
Sam, smile gracefully, gratefully, but let her know when she's crossed the line. Only you can draw your boundaries, only you can insist she not cross them....
Your Mom is there for you ( even if sometimes you might prefer not). I'am wishing for you both some good moments together. She cares so very much about you to come all the way over.
I'm very close to my mum so this would be the best thing for me if I were ever in any trouble, but I understand that sometimes you just want to be left to your own devices to do things the way YOU want to.

Well, as someone who would consider her mother the last person to "help" in this situation I can feel your pain. Maybe it would be ok to just let her take over and you stay numb as much as possible?
Overbearing? This could be useful. If the sisters come to call again, left her loose!
