And we just got a dad who joined my mom-taxi-cantine group for the kids school and he made this great spreadsheet for us! All this time we've just been three or four women calling or e-mailing each other each few days to arrange things like, "can you pick up Lola tonight, etc". It works well, efficient and all but now we barely talk so it's kind of lost the human element--the downside of rigid schedules in your personal life I guess.christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08609412152225467711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2394835278337306813.post-40257318551922137572010-10-17T16:31:46.852+02:002010-10-17T16:31:46.852+02:00if my husband pulled out an excel spreadsheet for ...if my husband pulled out an excel spreadsheet for cleaning I'd freak out. I have Excel spreadsheets to track our heating fuel usage, when I cut the grass, and whole lotta other stuff. But I'm retired, so it kind of replaces work for me.

And here's one of my favorite anglicisms in French: Quoi l'enfer!wcshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00551283829616757577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2394835278337306813.post-54883648021323336022010-10-15T17:12:47.919+02:002010-10-15T17:12:47.919+02:00That is really funny! At first i'd be like, "OCD much?" but then, that also shows that he's willing to do chores himself, so that must earn him some points. A man who likes to clean (especially without having to be told to!) is a winner in my book.Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17496193808385291916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2394835278337306813.post-55161476190994955822010-10-15T14:13:08.827+02:002010-10-15T14:13:08.827+02:00I love the C-isms! When I was an exchange student to Tunisia, my host dad was looking up words in the French/English dictionary my first night with them. I was only 17, had never been away from home and was very shy. He was trying to make conversation with me and make me feel comfortable. After searching the dictionary he said to me, "Tell me, Sue, in America do you drink orange gravy for breakfast?" Well, that just cracked me up and whenever he wanted to make me laugh that summer he would say to me "orange gravy?". It totally broke the ice and was our joke while I lived with them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2394835278337306813.post-27762461639989370702010-10-15T11:24:46.675+02:002010-10-15T11:24:46.675+02:00I had to smother my laugh (at work) when I read th...I had to smother my laugh (at work) when I read the first ready freddy bit, then I just gawped at the second bit (spreadsheet).
